Canada Greener Homes Grant
Canada Greener Homes Grants are provided to eligible homeowners for recommended and eligible installations such as home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps and renewable energy systems.
You could be eligible to receive:
- from $125 to $5,000 off the install of a heat pump
- other rebates towards electrical upgrades needed for the install
Who can apply:
✔️ homes in Nova Scotia that are at least 6 months old
✔️ homes who have not yet begun major renovations
The Process:

You must book a Home Energy Assessment (HEA) with a Registered Energy Advisor. Find a list of registered Advisors here, under the heading WORK WITH A REGISTERED ENERGY ADVISOR.

You book directly with the Advisor by reaching out to the Advisor of your choice.

Once you have received your Assessment Report, contact Kings Refrigeration & Air Conditioning and we can walk you through the options that are available to you, given the recommendations you received in your report. We will help you maximize the incentives available to you.

We will schedule your install within the grant's allowed timeline & be available to answer any of your questions.

Book your follow-up Assessment and receive your provincial rebate within 90 days. (Federal rebates may take longer to process.)
Note: This can be a lengthy process to complete. Expect 6+ months to complete the government mandated process.
